Eetu Helminen

My name is Eetu Helminen, and I work as a Project Manager in the AEDIB 2.0 project (Africa-Europe Digital Innovation Bridge 2.0), an Expert in the Nigeria Digital Public Services and Talent Initiative, and a Programme Manager.

Our goal is to support the creation of new, sustainable digital solutions and business opportunities across Africa. At the same time, we aim to build bridges between Europe and Africa, opening up markets, partnerships, and connections between the two continents.

I joined HAUS out of curiosity and a passion for building a more sustainable world.

Previously, I led one of Europe’s leading startup accelerators focused on sustainable urban solutions. I have also worked in a platform-based sustainability startup and served as an advisor to several other growth companies in the fields of artificial intelligence and sustainable development. In addition, I have worked as a news journalist and developed innovation pathways in areas such as urban development. More recently, I have collaborated with various stakeholders to develop new ways for public sector organizations to innovate through procurement from startups, as well as approaches to AI development that are driven by both impact and business value.

In my free time, I enjoy making music and playing ball sports.
