Twinning: Widening the use of different tools foreseen in the EU “Better regulation” initiative in policy making process in ministries, 05/2007 – 01/2008

• Developing the solution of the institutional framework for dealing with the “Better regulation” policy questions at the national level, basing on the best practice in other Member States.
• Increasing the competence of the public administration of Latvia in the fields of assessing administrative burdens and simplifying legislation by developing specific methodology.
• Improving the knowledge about various methods and tools and their practical use for strategic (performance) management process in public administration institutions.
