Shirin Namiq
Digital Social Innovations Expert
+27 61 799 2041I support HAUS’s international development portfolio by leading digital innovation and inclusion efforts across Sub-Saharan Africa. Based in Pretoria, I coordinate African–European partnerships that advance public sector innovation, inclusive digitalisation, and ethical data governance. I currently lead the implementation of the Think Like an Investor programme under the AU–EU D4D Hub, designed to strengthen the investment readiness of African digital innovators. As part of this work, I co-develop tools such as the Investor Pocket Guides, bridging the gap between local innovation ecosystems and international funding partners.
With over 15 years of experience across humanitarian aid, digital transformation, and inclusion-focused programming, my core areas of expertise include impact-driven M&E, ethical data governance, and accessible digital service design. I have worked with organisations such as UNHCR, IFRC, OSCE, and ECHO, leading initiatives that promote gender equality, disability inclusion, and data protection in both emergency contexts and long-term development.
I hold Master’s degrees in International Peace Operations and Broadcast Journalism, and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering. My approach combines system-level thinking, field-based experience, and strategic communication to support inclusive and sustainable public sector transformation.
In my free time, I enjoy walks with my dog Kiki and exploring creative projects that bridge digital innovation and social impact. I divide my time between Finland and South Africa, drawing inspiration from both contexts.
